Blue Rainbow

After the heavy storm hit Pinetop-Lakeside, Rainbow Lake pretty much frozen over completely. The skies finally cleared up a bit on our last day, and the ice made for some wonderful pictures.

  1. Hey. I stumbled across your blog through the Cal Poly website...I hope you don't mind a random follower! I am a soon to be Viticulture student just looking for inspiration and it seems I may have found this in your blog.

    Cheers,

  3. Thanks- I love your blog, as I have time I look at more posts and the photos--gorgeous! I actually plan to transfer to UC Davis in the Spring of 2012, if I can maintain a 3.8! From what I understand, that's about what you need to transfer as a Viticulture/Enology student-- stiff competition out there! So, what made you decide that wine was the right career for you?

  4. Davis has a great program, particularly strong in the theoretical side of enology. I think Cal Poly's program is stronger in the practical side of things ("learn by doing", as they like to say). Are you at Cal Poly now? I joined the wine industry in a bit of a roundabout fashion, but I think the draw of an artistic discipline that requires scientific thinking has always excited me.

  5. Hi Mike! For some reason when you comment on these I don't get an email or anything so I don't know to check it! Lol....so 3 months later...

I am at Reedley College now, living the small life taking my general ed. I would love to transfer to UC Davis....however the 3.8 scares me! I am not the type to be scared off easily tho, especially not when it comes to pursuing my dreams so I'm working my butt off.....how about you, how are you? Any new fun travels lately?
